SearsStyle Trendsetter: Splurge vs Steal with the Kardashian Kollection and Apostrophe

The holidays are upon us, which usually means getting all dressed up! As many of you are aware, I had weight loss surgery at the end of August, and am happy to say that I am down by 63 lbs so far! YIPPEE!! I am practically swimming in every piece of clothing I own, so I was really excited to be asked by Glam Media to participate as a SearsStyle Trendsetter! I know my family and friends are thinking.. "it's about time you get some clothing that FITS you!"

I received a $75 e-gift card to shop with at Sears.. a favorite store of mine! Not having shopped for clothing since before my surgery, I headed straight to the plus-size department.. my usual route. I chose an outfit that was cute, but that didn't really catch my fancy. I wanted something that I could wear to work, but would also enhance my shrinking figure. While standing in line to check out with the original outfit I chose, I spotted the Kardashian Kollection — and at a whopping 50% off too! I stood there a few minutes longer until curiosity got the best of me! Could I possibly look good in this younger, sexier style of clothing? Only one way to find out!

I grabbed an exotic animal print top that caught my eye and a beautiful pair of black Apostrophe slacks and made my way to the dressing room. I was pleasantly surprised shocked to find that I could now not only fit into a much smaller size than before (I've been wearing my baggy clothes for MONTHS now), but that it actually fit me WELL and looked really nice on too!

The pants were already on sale for a low $19.98 and the $42 top was at 50% off, bringing it to a mere $21 – and leaving me with $35 more to spend! WOOHOO … time to accessorize!! I found that the Kardashian Kollection of jewelry was ALSO on sale at 50% off, so I matched up a rather sharp-looking chunky chain necklace, and a pair of large hoop earrings with the remaining portion. I checked out very pleased with myself for finally purchasing an outfit that fits, and one that is also rather HOT if I do say so myself! I can say that I definitely made a steal AND a splurge on this purchase!
