My kids love anything to do with the kitchen — except washing dishes, of course.
They definitely take after their chef daddy that way! And if it's fun and involves eating… even BETTER! When I was asked to do a review for FunBites, I just couldn't say no! Created by fellow mom, Bobbie Rhoades, to help make mealtime healthy and fun for her two girls and less-stressful for mom!
My kids and grand kids LOVE to "play" with their food, so I knew FunBites would be a big hit. I was sent a set of two.. a Cube It, which cuts food into little bite-size cubes, and the Luv It, which lets you create fun shapes like hearts, triangles, and moon shapes.
FunBites are the first state-of-the-art kitchen tool that is kid-friendly and allows them to cut their food into fun, little bite-size pieces! My kids will normally eat just about anything.. but I do have one or two that are a bit more fussy about their food. We can't have a party or BBQ without finger foods.. it's like a tradition in our home.
Last week, we had a "lazy day" and decided to cook up some burgers on the grill! Easy meal.. requires easy preparation, so we let the kids have at it with the FunBites. Our youngest had a blast using the cutters to create all kinds of fun shapes out of fresh fruit, Genoa salami, and blocks of cheese… as you can see by the photos below:
Extremely simple to use… and SAFE for little hands! Here's how to get started:
Step 1 Place FunBites cutter on top of food. Remove popper top and set to the side.
Step 2: Grab cutter handles on both sides, press down firmly and rock 5-6 times to cut through the food.
Step 3: Lift the cutter up, insert popper top and pop out the bite-sized pieces!
You can use FunBites for just about any type of food.. get creative!! Have a picky eater or a child that packs lunch? FunBites are perfect for those occasions. Makes for much healthier meals too when the kids can visually enjoy their food as well as the taste.
Try FunBites on pancakes, sandwiches, watermelon, pizza, cheese and more! Serve with frilly toothpicks to make it a special event!
Stop over and "like" FunBites on Facebook for more creative, fun food ideas!
And if you're a germ-a-phobe like me who said that, you will love that hands stay clean and the food virtually untouched. Similar to a cookie cutter, but made of a much stronger plastic that is tough and durable. BPA free too!
Clean up is a breeze! Just separate the popper from the cutter and hand wash or toss it in the top-shelf of your dishwasher! Just think of all the tasty little tidbits you can serve at your next party or gathering!
Finger food fun for everyone!

Getting the kids TO eat is my biggest frustration!!
Making something that we’ll all eat! So tough!
My biggest frustration is getting my kids to finish their food! They start out strong, but then something comes along that is WAY more interesting!
THANK you! I get frustrated with kids not eatting what I cook! lol
my biggest frustration is trying to get everything ready while the kids are making a mess because I am distracted
My biggest mealtime challenge is preparing healthy meals with something that even the pickest eaters will like or at least try!
My biggest issue is that my daughter is a finicky eater, who will ask for something then sit there with it for a hour refusing to eat it, “You made it wrong!”
Our biggest challenge is to just get ourselves to pause and take the time to make something and not give in to temptation of the quick and easy take out!
Thanks!

my biggest frustration is actually getting my daughter to eat what’s in front of her. She’s 2 and just hit a picky stage where I can’t get her to eat her dinner.
I honestly don’t have a huge frustration in the kitchen. My son is a fantastic eater, but I guess the biggest for me would be that he wants treats a lot.
My kids whine and try to eat while I am making the meal.

She would probably be more inspired by heart-shaped food, though…
My hardest thing is keeping my kids sitting at the table and sometimes being able to sit down with everyone at the same time, always seems like I am the last to start eating and my food is cold :/
getting my oldest to sit still!
These look awesome! I would love to try these with some of the foods my twins like to eat, especially cheese.
I hate when they say ewwwww before trying something because it lacks visual appeal.
