Quick Dinner Fixes with Campbell’s Skillet Sauces {Review}

I am one busy lady! Working a full-time job, tending to the 4 children still left at home, and babysitting my granddaughters throughout the week takes up quite a bit of my time. Thankfully, I have a wonderful hubby that also happens to be a retired chef, so he does most of the cooking in our home. He can whip up a full-course meal with no problem at all. But, even so, there are times when we may have doctor appointments, school functions, or shopping to do, and need to prepare something quick and in a hurry … without skimping on quality and taste.

I recently had the opportunity to review the new Campbell's Skillet Sauces. Each variety provides a hot, delicious meal in as little as 15 minutes! So simple to prepare — just heat oil in your skillet over medium-high heat, add your chicken, beef, or other protein and/or your favorite vegetables and cook until browned. Then stir in the sauce of choice and heat to a boil. Reduce heat and cover for approximately 5 minutes or until cooked through and fork tender.

Campbell's Skillet Sauces are available in six (6) great-tasting varities:

* Creamy Chipotle with Roasted Corn & Black Beans

* Marsala with Mushrooms & Garlic

* Thai Green Curry with Lemongrass & Basil

* Toasted Sesame with Garlic & Ginger

I don't purchase many canned/packaged foods, because most are loaded with fat, calories, and sodium. I was happy to see that most of the varieties were less than 100 calories per 1/4 cup serving! Serve your Skillet Sauce dish over rice or pasta for a complete meal. And at about $2.49 per 9-ounce pouch, it's not only a great time saver, but a money saver as well!

One of my absolute favorite entrees to order when dining out is Chicken Marsala, so I was excited to try that variety first. The hubby seasoned and browned several boneless chicken breasts, onions, and extra mushrooms, added a little wine, and then the Marsala Skillet Sauce. He served it with my favorite garlic mashed potatoes and complimented it with some veggies… delish!! I thought the taste was very close to homemade! A couple nights later we tried the Creamy Chipotle Skillet Sauce with beef and served it over rice, which was equally tasty! Can't wait to try the others flavors!

    I haven’t tried these, yet. I love to have something like this on hand–I usually jazz them up a bit–so that I can cook a variety of dishes but don’t have to keep dozens of seasonings on hand all the time.
