Great Starts with Kellogg’s – Recharge for the Day Ahead #GreatStarts

Getting our oldest daughter up for work, our other 3 children out the door for school, and myself dressed and ready to head out to my day job can be quite challenging to say the least! As organized as I try to be and as much as I plan ahead, there are always those days when nothing seems to fall into place as well as you’d like. A homework paper that has suddenly “vanished,” a last minute spill on a uniform top, or a missed school bus can really throw a monkey wrench into our day.

Kellogs_Author_LogoOne thing I am always prepared for is ensuring that my kids have plenty of breakfast choices on hand including a variety of Kellogg’s cereals. After all, breakfast is the most important meal of the day in my book. They are all old enough to prepare their own breakfast, so that is one task off my hectic morning list. The hubby and I both cook quite a bit, so our children have learned to make omelettes, bacon and sausage, and other assorted breakfast foods on their own. However, they don’t always have time in the morning to prepare a full-fledged breakfast, so it’s much easier for them to grab a bowl of cereal before leaving for school.

When it’s “one of those days,” and there’s no time for cooking breakfast, I can feel confident in knowing that my children will get the right amount of protein and carbs they need to make the most of their day with Kellogg’s cereals. They each have their favorites including Frosted Flakes, Rice Krispies, Corn Pops, and Frosted Mini-Wheats. I personally love Kellogg’s Fiber Plus Bars. I keep them handy in my desk drawer for a quick breakfast or mid-afternoon snack.

Making breakfast a family time event is a great way for us to catch up on school happenings, upcoming projects or events, or just sharing some fun news with each other. A bowl of Kellogg’s cereal, low-fat milk, and 100% juice is just what the doctor ordered in our home – simple and delicious, and a great way to fuel up to handle whatever the day may bring.
